It’s all about Piers & Portraits – Off Camera Flash Photography at this Welshot Mini Module in Llandudno, North Wales. Our Model(s) will be posing against the beautiful backdrop of the Llandudno Bay, otherwise known as the Queen of Resorts.  Team Welshot will be helping you to create and make some great portrait images using off camera flash as well as using the available natural light. From simple and elegant headshots on the pier and promenade, to dramatic and creative poses and splashing on the beach at West Shore  this event will be perfect for those who want to learn the techniques and skills required to capture some stunning portraits.

Lighting Techniques for Portrait Photography – Day two and it is all about Off Camera Flash Flash at the Welshot Photographic Lighting Academy Weekend.  Day two will cover everything you need to know about Off Camera Flash, how it works with your camera and how you can take, make and create great portraiture photography inside and outside on location.  From learning how to set up your lighting equipment from the ground up in the Welshot Creative Hub, you will be shown how to use one light, then two lights.  You will be working inside and out on location around Llandudno, and Team Welshot will help you to get all the images you want for your portfolio.  You will be shown how to work with props, modifiers and gels to give you a wide range of looks and our experienced Welshot models will put you at ease immediately.  If you need any help (with posing or working with models) they will be only too pleased to give you all the help, guidance and suggestions you want.  Our Models will be wearing a variety of outfits/costumes and we will be using a wide range of backdrops and sets (inside and outside). Lighting Techniques for Portrait Photography – Day One:  Studio Mains Flash sees the return of the Welshot Photographic Lighting Academy Weekend.  Day one will cover all things ‘Mains Studio’ and you will be taken through all the steps you need to know to enable you to take, make and create great portraiture photography.  From learning how to set up your lighting equipment from the ground up, you will be taken through how using one light, then two, three and onto four lights can help you to capture a wide variety of images with different looks.  You will be shown how using a light meter can help you to get the perfectly exposed image to how working with props, modifiers and gels can change the look of your image.  Our experienced Welshot models will put you at ease immediately, and if you need help they will be only too pleased to help.  They will be wearing a variety of outfits/costumes and we will be using a wide range of backdrops and sets. If you have ever wanted to learn, perfect or hone your studio lighting for photography skills then this is the day for you.  Day one of the Welshot Lighting Academy Weekend can be taken as a stand-alone or together with day two (booked separately)  

With a nod to the great fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, this Welshot fashion photography workshop in the historic Georgian Quarter of Liverpool will have you shooting cinematic and naturalistic portraits of our Model(s).  If you want to be really authentic, we will help you to look, see and shoot in black and white!  This photographic workshop will help you to develop, build on and hone your own original style of photography, something every photographer strives for.  We will be using natural and ambient lighting as well as off camera flash and you will learn how to balance the light, the models and your surroundings to tell a story.  Your models will be wearing a wide variety of fashion outfits, from power suits to flowing summer dresses with props and accessories to match.

This Welshot Photographic Academy Evening, based at the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno North Wales will be the perfect opportunity for you to get creative, work with models, build yourself a photographic portfolio, learn about studio (Mains Flash and Off Camera Flash) lighting and help you to keep up-to-date with the latest techniques, skills and equipment. Limited to eight photographers, with at least two models and two different studio set-ups during the course of this Evening photography workshop you will get One to One and Group tuition and training to help, support and guide you through what can often be thought of as a confusing and complex genre of photography.  This, dedicated to learning all things studio lighting for photography course, will have you taking and making portrait images that you will be proud to show off.

This Lighting Techniques for Studio Portraiture – Chester Photographic Academy Evening event is for all photography enthusiasts who are wanting to learn about photographic lighting.  During the evenings workshop you will be using mains studio lights and off camera flash. Learning about lighting, and how it works, is the single most important skill to have when when it comes to your portrait photography. Working with our Welshot Models you will try you hand at Rembrandt, butterfly, side and split lighting.  You will be using grids, modifiers and getting creative, learning to see (and shoot) in black and white and working with coloured gels. This studio mains and off camera flash photography workshop will be taking place at The Chester Crowne Plaza.
