Fashion Photography – Gels & Studio Mains Flash in the Welshot Creative Hub. This studio mains flash for photography is a practical, hands on full-day event for all photography enthusiasts wanting to learn how to creatively shoot portraits using mains studio flash lighting. Learning about lighting, and how it works, is the single most important thing you can learn when it comes to your portrait photography. Rembrandt, butterfly, side and split lighting, using grids, getting creative, learning to see (and shoot) in black and white will help you to create, learn and inspire your photography. Your studio mains flash for photography workshop will be taking place at the Welshot Creative Hub.

Build Your Portfolio Day with Xenia – Portrait Photography at the Welshot Creative Hub. November sees us welcoming Xenia to the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno for our “Portfolio Building” full day photographic event. Xenia is a professional, full-time model based in Sheffield and with her own photography studio – Zavod. Xenia has extensive knowledge as a photographer and a model. With a deep understanding of how the camera, lighting, composition and posing work together, you will, as a photographer, benefit from her modelling experience, her photographic knowledge and be in an ideal environment to create and make some stunning portraiture for your portfolio. This comprehensive session will take place in a studio environment using mains studio lighting, and outside on location, using off camera flash, (if weather permits) with at least five costume/outfit changes this evening photography session will cover everything from lighting to composition while giving you lots of hints and tips, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded skill set to take home with you.We know Xenia loves a bit of “Punk” so you can expect some great costumes with Xenia pulling all sorts of shapes for you and your camera!

Simone is a professional, full-time model based in London and Derby with 10 years experience. Simone has passion for being on both sides of the lens and has a deep understanding of how light brings notable energy to a photoshoot. Without a doubt, as a photographer, you will not only benefit from her modelling experience but get a unique insight from a photographic point of view as well which will help you too create some stand-out images for your portfolio.

Welshot is going to Thornbridge Hall. An historic house in the heart of the Peak District with a difference! Our on-location themed photo-shoot – Pop Art Couture: Capturing Fashion Through the Lens of Print and Colour has been specifically designed to be as quirky and different as our amazing location. Joining Welshot will be our three stunning models, Simone Stock, Elle Baldwinson and Darcie Binsley who will each be wearing two, bespoke, made for Welshot costumes that will help bring your photography to life.
