Portrait Photography – Friday Night is Studio Night at the Welshot Creative Hub. This Welshot Photographic Academy Evening, based at the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno North Wales will be the perfect opportunity for you to get creative, work with models, build yourself a photographic portfolio, learn about studio (Mains Flash and Off Camera Flash) lighting and help you to keep up-to-date with the latest techniques, skills and equipment. Limited to eight photographers, with at least two models and two different studio set-ups during the course of this Evening photography workshop you will get One to One and Group tuition and training to help, support and guide you through what can often be thought of as a confusing and complex genre of photography.  This, dedicated to learning all things studio lighting for photography course, will have you taking and making portrait images that you will be proud to show off.

Flat-lay is a popular genre of photography for those who like to be creative, post on various social media platforms or just want to spend some time making an creating imaginative, impactful images.  Knolling, a form of flat-lay but using specific props that link together (like kitchen cutlery, makeup or tools) to form an attractive, methodical, often symmetrical in some way, photograph.  At this Welshot Flat-lay photography day, held at the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno we will be spending the day learning the techniques, both compositionally and lighting to make and create images you can be proud to showcase.  Using a wide variety of props, from flowers to food, from kitchen utensils to stationery, from toys to tools - this day will have it all for you, your imagination and your camera.

Seascape and Sunset Photography in New Brighton

It's time to blow those Winter cobwebs away and our Seascape and Sunset Photography at fort Perch Rock at the end of the New Brighton promenade is guaranteed to do just that.  This day will delight the photographer who loves the great outdoors but with a few creature comforts close at hand.  This fun filled day with Welshot for you and your camera will provide it all.  From lighthouses to rock pools to, from street photography (if that's your jam) to stormy seas and a spectacular sunset (fingers crossed) complete with blue hour - This afternoon will have it all for the photographer.  Join us for an afternoon of photography in New Brighton on Wirral where we will be giving our cameras a great workout. Steampunk Meets Dieselpunk – A Welshot Themed Photo-Shoot

Join us at our first Themed Photo-Shoot of 2023 for what promises to be an exceptional day of photography.  This Welshot inspired nod, in essence, is a homage to vintage, Victorian fashion with a modern, sassy twist - Think Victorian Industrial meets Mad Max Futuristic. At this Welshot event, with at least four Models (Male and Female) we will be using bustles, corsets, gowns, and petticoats; suits with waistcoats, coats, top hats, tailcoats and spats; and military-inspired garments.  Most of the costumes will be bespoke to Welshot, having been made, or adapted, by our Team Creative.As well as our bespoke costumes, we will have at least four different, specifically printed backdrops, that are unique to Welshot - all with an array of props for you to use throughout the day, ensuring you will leave this event with images to be proud of.

Creative, inspirational and fun – the genre of Miniature People photography is all of these things and more and is guaranteed have you making and creating some fantastic images at this Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening.   By integrating true scale objects, from food to every day items you can find around your home the idea is to build real scenes, that look almost realistic.  By using your imagination you will soon see the potential for creating and making photos in miniature is inexhaustible. Your weekly food shop, or a child's toy box will become a world of inspiration and an adventure.  Ordinary household items and foods will now be a child’s playgrounds, or ramps and jumps for a miniature skatepark. Low-Light & Long Exposure Seascape Photography in Beaumaris – Roving Academy Evening

Were taking advantage of the 'still early' darker evenings and getting out and about with our cameras to capture the Anglesey coastline in extreme low-light conditions.  At this Welshot Roving Academy Evening, based in Beaumaris, we will be shooting long exposures - from Gallows Point to the Pier itself.  Shooting in low light can be challenging - Tonight you will be learning how to each element of the exposure triangle (ISO / Shutter / Aperture) to create your image.  Understanding the exposure triangle is an important part of knowing how to use your camera, especially when shooting in low light.  Learning how to use your shutter speeds and exposure times with the ambient (natural light) will help to create a variety of looks in your photographs. At this low-light and long exposure seascape photography workshop you will be capturing and creating unique and inspiring images to be proud of.

Dance Portrait Photography in Chester

Ballet shoes, tutus and graceful movements - that's what the Welshot Team will be helping you to capture in your camera at this Dance Portrait Photography workshop in Chester.  This will be a day of creating images using two different lighting set ups.  In the studio using mains flash and outside, on location using off camera flash.  From unique, specifically printed for Welshot, backdrops in a studio environment, to using the historic backdrop of Chester outside locations you will, on this photography workshop be making and creating stunning images for your photographic portfolio.  You will learn how to use your shutter speed to create a variety of effects in camera - from long exposures to freezing movement. Portraiture photography is a great skill to learn and on this event we will be using a variety of lighting to capture a range of different looks.  From head shots to our dancers leaping this day will have it all.
