Perfect your portrait photography at this on location shoot at the Welshot Photographic Academy Evening. Our Models, wearing Dresses and Docs, and using the beautiful Llandudno Bay in North Wales as their backdrop, will be working hard to help you capture some stunning portraiture, using both off camera flash and natural, ambient lighting. We guarantee fun, frolics and frivolity as they pose for the camera, before and after the sun sets on the horizon, then, we’ve got a chance to do some low-light portraiture too! Think portraits and piers, swishy dresses, stomping boots and biker jackets. From posed portraits to those candid shots – this portrait photography session will help you learn a thing or three about lighting, hone your already gained skills or just help you to enhance your photographic portfolio. Whatever your reason for attending, we know you will have a lot of fun with like-minded photographers in a safe, non-competitive and fun environment. We even provide you with a light buffet supper.

Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill, or, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.
The Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this Dresses, Docs & Portrait Photography – Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening event to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about photography and your camera.
Event Schedule
18:30 – Meet at the Welshot Creative Hub – 16 Trinity Square, Llandudno
18:35 – Short break for a light buffet supper (included)
19:00 – Photography starts (outside on location) – One to One and Group tuition
22:00 – Finish
Please Bring
- Camera and lenses suitable for this event: Any focal length lens of between 35mm and 100mm or standard kit zoom – Please feel free to bring your preferred lens.
- Spare Batteries and Memory Card
- Any props you might like to include in your photos
- A list of ideas, help, questions etc that you would like to discuss with Welshot Team Leaders to help you get the best from this event.
