Tonight at the Welshot portfolio building session we are excited to have Olga Solomakhina joining us at the Creative Hub in Llandudno. At this Welshot Progressive event we are going to help you to see (and capture) your image in black & white. Our model will be sporting a number of different looks with at least four costume/outfit changes. You will be learning how to work with your model, posing Olga for your portraits and use your lighting to compliment your model which will give you the best possible composition for your photographs.

Tonight at this Welshot Progressive event we are excited to have Natalie Ciufo Green joining us at the Creative Hub in Llandudno. At this portfolio building session Natalie, who is a bit of a chameleon when it comes to fashion, will be sporting a number of different looks with at least three costume/outfit changes. You will be learning how to work with your model, posing Natalie for your portraits and use your lighting to compliment your model which will give you the best possible composition for your photograph. You will be using studio mains, and off camera flash lighting techniques in the studio itself as well as using the buildings features to capture your portrait photos for your portfolio. If the weather is suitable we may also go outdoors for some funky, grungy and dynamic images.

During this session, Emma, who loves a bit of “Big Dress Glam” when it comes to fashion, will be sporting a number of different looks with at least three costume/outfit changes. You will be using studio mains, and off camera flash lighting techniques in the studio itself as well as using the buildings features to capture your portrait photos for your portfolio. If the weather is suitable we may also go outdoors to make some funky, grungy and dynamic images.

Tonight your Model, Darcie Binsley, will be helping you to unleash your creativity in the Welshot studio and outside on location in Llandudno. Our theme for this evenings photographic session will be a nod to the 1960’s and 1970’s complete with props and studio sets.

Macro & Close-Up Floral Photography- Welshot Creative Hub

Macro photography (or close-up photography) is a photographic genre that some people struggle with but at our Full Day photographic event, based in the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno, Team Welshot will take you through step by step of everything you need to do to create some stunning macro photography images. At this event we will be working with a wide variety of flowers, using natural, ambient and artificial light, which will ensure you will still get a day of photography regardless of the weather outside. There will be ample opportunity for one to one tuition as well as in a small group setting where you can collaborate with others. With a whole day of photography ahead of you, there will be plenty of time to get creative, experiment and make some stunning images which you can be proud of.

There will also be an opportunity to review your images and get some help with post processing / editing of your images if you wish.

Still-Life in Miniature – Close-Up Photography

Do you love still-life photography? No room for the big studio set-ups or space to house those larger props? Then this event is going to be perfect for you! The idea for this Welshot, Still-Life in Miniature event was born from a visit of some friends to Anglesey in North Wales – the weather was too bad for any of the nature photography they’d hoped for but they’d packed their car with all manner of props, backdrops, fabric and flowers – all of the miniature (think Dolls House) size. Once you’ve picked your props, it’s time to learn how to style and compose your photo – from using natural light to continuous photographic lighting this is the perfect indoors table top photographic project.

Floral Photography – flowers of every size, shape and colour, mixed with props galore, backdrops and backgrounds by the dozen, a chance to style and shoot to your hearts content with all the help, support, guidance and photographic tuition you need and you’ve got yourself a still-life and floral photography adventure for you and you camera. This is your chance to get creative with your camera, learn about lighting, styling, composition and how to make your images from the ground up. This Welshot photography workshop will have the creative juices flowing and have you creating and making stunning images for your portfolio.

Are you a budding florist wanting to turn your hobby into a profession – or maybe you are a content creator, blogger? Do you want stunning images for your Instagram grid or maybe you just want to improve your camera skills and develop the quality of your floral photography images. Whatever your reason, this Welshot floral photography and still-life workshop at the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno, North Wales is for you.

Tonight at the Welshot portfolio building session it is all about the props, from clothes to furniture, from backgrounds to accessories. Our model will be sporting a number of different looks with at least two costume/outfit changes. You will be learning how to positron your furniture, props, accessories and lighting to compliment your model and give you the best possible composition for your photograph. You will be using studio mains, and off camera flash lighting techniques in the studio itself as well as using the buildings features to capture your portrait photos for your portfolio.

Tonight it is all about being out on location, shooting with off camera flash and using walls, textures and other architectural features such as stairways as your backdrops. Our model will be sporting a number of different looks with at least two costume/outfit changes. You will be learning how to use off camera flash lighting techniques outside on location to capture your portrait photos for your portfolio. From headshots to full body portraiture images. We will probably get the gels out too!

From learning how to pose your model to the best lighting (types of) and modifiers to use to make the images you want to create. From using props, backgrounds, and gels to understanding the correct settings, camera functions, lenses, and focal lengths to use for portraiture and studio photography.

Portrait Photography – Friday Night is Studio Night – July Session at the Welshot Creative Hub. Tonight our model is a trained dancer (ballet) who will be rocking the studio, in a wide variety of ballet poses, wearing a selection of authentic dance costumes (including tutus) and props. You will be learning how to set-up, use and work the lighting specifically for full body portraiture. We will also be showing you how you can create your own simple but effective backdrops at home using easily sourced items as props without costing you a fortune. From learning how to pose your model to the best lighting (types of) and modifiers to use to make the images you want to create. From using props, backgrounds, and gels to understanding the correct settings, camera functions, lenses, and focal lengths to use for portraiture and studio photography.
