Frocks on Rocks, meets Piers and Portraits - our Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening for August sees two of the most popular Welshot photography sessions come together for this off camera, on location fashion photography shoot come to life.

Our Model(s) will be wearing a wide range of fashion outfits, ranging from 1950's Vogue to 1960's retro, and posing against the beautiful backdrop of the Llandudno Bay, otherwise known as the Queen of Resorts, specifically, the pier, the promenade and the colonnades.  Team Welshot will be helping you to create and make some great portrait images using off camera flash as well as using the available natural light as well as capturing your portraits using the “Golden” and “Blue” hours before and after sunset.  From simple and elegant headshots on the pier and promenade, to dramatic and creative poses, this event will be perfect for those who want to learn the techniques and skills required to capture some stunning portraits.  We even have a back-up plan if the weather isn’t playing ball - the Welshot Creative Hub!

Grab your camera and join us on our Nature Ramble – Photography at the RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve in North Wales, guaranteed to help ease you into Autumn while capturing the beauty from what can only be described as a stunning environment. The Conwy RSPB nature reserve is a wetland on the Conwy estuary, created from material dug out during the construction of the A55 road tunnel. It is now home to a variety of wildlife, and a great place for photographers and their cameras. there is always something to see and photograph, from landscape to macro, flora and fauna and, of course, birds. Your Welshot Masterclass will be learning how to work with light and shutter speeds to capture stunning compositions and movement.

At our October "Friday Night is Studio Night" we will be welcoming Simone Stocks in to the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno.  Simone is a professional, full-time model based in London and Derby with 10 years experience.  Simone has passion for being on both sides of the lens and has a deep understanding of how light brings notable energy to a photoshoot.  Without a doubt, as a photographer, you will not only benefit from her modelling experience but get a unique insight from a photographic point of view as well which will help you too create some stand-out images for your portfolio.

This comprehensive session will take place in a studio environment using mains studio, and, outside on location using off camera flash, (if weather permits) with at least three costume/outfit changes this evening photography session will cover everything from lighting to composition while giving you lots of hints and tips, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded skill set to take home with you.
