Macro photography (or close-up photography) is a photographic genre that some people struggle with but at our Full Day photographic event, based in the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno, Team Welshot will take you through step by step of everything you need to do to create some stunning macro photography images. At this event we will be working with a wide variety of flowers, using natural, ambient and artificial light, which will ensure you will still get a day of photography regardless of the weather outside. There will be ample opportunity for one to one tuition as well as in a small group setting where you can collaborate with others. With a whole day of photography ahead of you, there will be plenty of time to get creative, experiment and make some stunning images which you can be proud of.

Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill, or, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.
The Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this Macro & Close-Up Floral Photography – A WelshotRewards Day event to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about photography and your camera.
How it works
This is a WelshotRewards Day event and only available for Members of the Welshot Photographic Academy. Your Welshot Membership MUST be current at the time this event takes place.
£180 will be converted to 10,000 WelshotRewards at checkout and deducted automatically from your account. WelshotReward Days (including WelshotReward Points) are Non-Transferable and Non-Refundable.
Event Schedule
10:30 – Meet at the Welshot Creative Hub – 16 Trinity Square, Llandudno
10:35 – Photography starts – One to One and Group tuition
12:30 – Lunch (not included)
13:30 – Photography continues with One to One and Group Tuition
16:00 – Finish
Please Bring
- Camera and lenses suitable for this event – Macro lens / Standard kit lens / 50mm prime
- Spare Batteries and Memory Card
- Tripod / Cable release if you have one
- Your lunch/Snacks you think you will need throughout the day
- A list of ideas, help, questions etc that you would like to discuss with Welshot Team Leaders.
