Step into the world of fashion photography and portraiture with our hands-on, off camera flash Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening in the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno, North Wales.  This immersive experience is designed for photographers of all skill levels who are eager to master the art of off-camera flash and enhance their fashion compositions.
Led by our expert Welshot team leaders, you’ll learn to expertly manipulate light, accentuating the style, form, and emotion of your subjects to create striking, professional images, in a full photographic studio.  This workshop offers a unique opportunity to capture dynamic, fashion-forward imagery. With a variety of lighting techniques and backdrops to work with, you’ll explore how to sculpt light and shadow to create depth and drama in your shots.
You’ll also learn how to use off-camera flash to add dimension, control, and impact to your photos and skills which will elevate your portfolio to the next level.  Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your technique, this workshop provides valuable insights and practical experience.   • How to confidently use off-camera flash in a studio environment:
    • Learn the basics of working with off-camera flash and discover how moving your light source away from the camera gives you far more creative control over your images.
  • To understand light direction, quality, and how it shapes a portrait:
    • Explore how the position, softness, and intensity of light can dramatically change the mood, feel, and overall look of a portrait photograph.
  • How to create mood, drama, and atmosphere using light and shadow:
    • Discover how photographers use contrast, highlights, and shadow areas to create cinematic, striking, and emotionally engaging fashion portraits.
  • All the hints and tips for photographing (and working with…) models naturally and confidently:
    • Learn how to communicate with your model, build rapport, and create a relaxed atmosphere that helps people feel comfortable in front of the camera.
  • How to pose and direct your Model for stronger images:
    • Understand simple posing techniques and how small adjustments to hands, posture, angles, and expression can completely transform a portrait.
  • How to understand camera settings for flash photography:
    • Learn how aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and flash power work together to help you achieve correctly exposed and visually striking photographs.
  • How to balance ambient light with flash for more control:
    • Discover how combining available light with flash allows you to create natural-looking images or more dramatic, stylised effects.
  • How small lighting changes can completely transform an image:

The Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this Fashion and Portrait Photography Photo-Shoot – Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about photography and your camera.

18:30 – Meet at the Welshot Creative Hub – 16 Trinity Square, Llandudno
18:35 – Photography starts – One to One and Group tuition
20:00 – Short break – time to grab yourself a hot/cold drink
20:30 – Photography continues with One to One and Group Tuition
22:00 – Finish
