Our October “Portfolio Building” full day photographic event sees us welcoming Simone Stocks into the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno. Simone is a professional, full-time model based in London and Derby with 10 years experience. Simone has passion for being on both sides of the lens and has a deep understanding of how light brings notable energy to a photoshoot. Without a doubt, as a photographer, you will not only benefit from her modelling experience but get a unique insight from a photographic point of view as well which will help you too create some stand-out images for your portfolio.

At our October “Friday Night is Studio Night” we will be welcoming Simone Stocks in to the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno. This comprehensive session will take place in a studio environment using mains studio, and, outside on location using off camera flash, (if weather permits) with at least three costume/outfit changes this evening photography session will cover everything from lighting to composition while giving you lots of hints and tips, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded skill set to take home with you.

By participating in this hands-on practical session, you’ll gain valuable experience and confidence in directing models and capturing their best angles. This is an ideal setting to experiment with bold, artistic concepts that will make your portfolio truly stand out.

Portrait Photography – Portfolio Building Session at the Welshot Creative Hub with Sin Yu Chan
Join us at this Welshot Progressive, Friday Evening session, where we will be joined by London Model – Sin Yu Chan and unlock your photographic potential at this exclusive portrait photography workshop, meticulously designed for photographers who are passionate about building a standout portfolio as well as excelling in photographic competitions. This immersive, hands-on experience presents a rare opportunity to work with Sin Yu Chan who, as professional model, uses the tag line “Styled By Me – Modelled By Me” will give you an opportunity to photograph this superb model, dressed in avant-garde, highly styled clothing, offering you a unique and visually striking opportunity for you and your photographic portfolio. This comprehensive session will take place in a studio environment using mains studio and off camera flash and will cover everything from lighting and composition while giving you lots of hints and tips, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded skill set to take home with you.

Portrait Photography – Portfolio Building Session at the Welshot Creative Hub with Elle Baldwinson. Tonight your Model, Elle Baldwisnon, will be helping you to unleash your creativity in the Welshot studio and outside on location in Llandudno. Our theme for this evenings photographic session will be a nod to Hollywood glamour – think long, elegant dresses, complete with props and studio sets. Elle brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and versatility to every shot and we guarantee you will go home with a lot more than just great shots in your camera.

The key to successful coloured gel photography is experimentation and at this Welshot Photographic Academy Evening in Llandudno you will have the time to test different combinations, understand the impact of each gel, and refine your technique to achieve the desired results. With the help, support and guidance of our team of expert lighting technicians and photographers you will be shown how understanding the colour temperature of your light source is crucial when using gels. Different gels have specific colour temperatures, and combining them with the existing lighting conditions can produce unique effects.

This is a full day Welshot Progressive event specifically designed for photographers to concentrate on their own personal continued professional development and building a photographic portfolio. We are delighted to have Natalie Ciufo Green join us here at the Creative Hub in Llandudno. At this portfolio building session Natalie, who is a bit of a chameleon when it comes to fashion, will be sporting a number of different looks with at least five costume/outfit changes. You will be learning how to work with your model, posing Natalie for your portraits and use your lighting to compliment your model which will give you the best possible composition for your photograph. You will be using studio mains, and off camera flash lighting techniques in the studio itself as well as using the buildings features to capture your portrait photos for your portfolio. If the weather is suitable we may also go outdoors for some funky, grungy and dynamic images.

You will be using studio mains, and off camera flash lighting techniques in the studio itself as well as using the buildings features to capture your portrait photos for your portfolio. If the weather is suitable we may also go outdoors to make some funky, grungy and dynamic images.

Tonight your Model, Darcie Binsley, will be helping you to unleash your creativity in the Welshot studio and outside on location in Llandudno. Our theme for this evenings photographic session will be a nod to the 1960’s and 1970’s complete with props and studio sets.
