What Will Happen
Seascape photography, with piers and lighthouses included. Using the dramatic backdrop of the beautiful North Wales coastline we will be keeping our cameras busy taking and making images, from long exposures to getting close-up with macro. Our June Academy Evening on Anglesey will be in two different locations – first at The Bulkeley Hotel in Beaumaris and then, after supper (included) it’s off to Penmon for more low-light, long exposure and a chance to get creative in your surroundings. From boats bobbing, lighthouse bells clanging, sunsets and wandering clouds, all you need is the imagination to ‘see’ your image.
Beginner to photography? We can help you.
Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill, or, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.
The Welshot Team will be on hand throughout this Piers, Lighthouses & Seascape Photography – Anglesey Photographic Academy Evening to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about seascape photography, creating long exposures in low-light and your camera.
Please Note: Supper is included in the cost of this event. This is a fully outdoor event (apart from supper) – please make sure you (and your camera) come dressed appropriately. If Welshot decides to postpone this event due to bad weather conditions, you will be given several options regarding your booking. Delegate numbers are restricted to ensure plenty of 1:1 and group tuition time. Team leaders are proportionate.
Welshot will be keeping within Welsh Government regulations and recommendations regarding the Coronavirus and Covid 19 Regulations, and we expect our delegates to do the same.

The Schedule
- Before 6:30pm – Please wait in the lounge area of the The Bulkeley Hotel
- 6:30pm – Doors Open – Welcome
- 6:35pm – Photography starts – Pier and Seascapes in Beaumaris
- 8.00pm – Supper – Included in the cost of this event
- 8: 30pm – Leave for Penmon – Low-Light and Long Exposure Seascapes
- 10:00pm – Finish
Please Bring
- Camera and lenses suitable for this event – Wide angle if possible or standard zoom. Macro lens if you have one.
- Spare (Fully Charged) Batteries and Memory Card
- Tripod / Cable release if you have one
- A list of ideas, help, questions etc that you would like to discuss with Welshot Team Leaders
