Immerse you and your camera in the beauty of autumn with a captivating photography workshop in the heart of North Wales. Join the Welshot Team in the charming village of Betws Y Coed for a day dedicated to capturing the stunning seasonal landscape through your lens. From the intricate details of macro and close-up shots to the sweeping views of mountain lakes and forests dressed in autumnal colours, to capturing movement of fast flowing rivers – this Welshot photographic event, with Masterclass, has something for every outdoor photographer.
With the Afon Llugwy and Afon Conwy flowing through the village, Betws-y-Coed is home to some beautiful bridges that offer fantastic views of the enchanting landscape. Our walk will be relaxed and enjoyable, offering plenty of opportunities to focus on the movement of the river as it winds its way through the landscape. Along the way, we’ll pause to photograph the golden glow of the trees in their full autumn splendour, experiment with long exposure techniques, and capture the textures of rock formations. After we’ve explored the natural wonders of the area, we’ll make our way up to the new miners bridge before heading up to Plas Y Brenin – National Outdoor Centre. Here, you’ll have the chance to capture the breathtaking sight of the sun setting behind Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) from the stunning vantage point of Llynnau Mymbyr.
This workshop promises a perfect blend of creativity, technique, and breathtaking scenery, all wrapped in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or a newcomer to the outdoors, this day will inspire and enhance your skills.

Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill, or, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.
The Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this Autumn in Snowdonia – Landscape Photography in North Wales event to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about photography and your camera.

10:30 – Meet – Pont Y Pair Bridge – Betws Y Coed (You will need to pay for parking)
11:35 – Photography Masterclass – Long Exposures – Capturing movement in Water
12:30 – Lunch (not included)
13:15 – Photography resumes – Nature Ramble / Macro & Close-Up / Landscape
17:58 – Sunset
18:30 – Finish
Please note: We advise you bring a picnic lunch and all day refreshments to keep you going throughout the day. There will be time for comfort stops enroute, but we will be eating on the hoof! If you do wish to stop, you may do so, but, it will be your responsibility to catch up to the rest of the group.

- Camera and lenses suitable for this event – Wide angle if possible – Standard zoom – Macro – Bring the lenses you have (or like working with) and we will help you get the best from your lens and camera
- Spare (Fully Charged) Batteries and Memory Card
- Tripod / Cable release if you have one
- Refreshments – Snacks or drinks you think you will require during the event
