Welshot Does… The Shortest Night Photographic Adventure – visiting the beautiful landscape of Anglesey and Snowdonia in North Wales, is a firm Welshot favourite and always has our delegates booking on the next years ‘Shortest Night’ adventure before the bacon butties (included) have been eaten at the end of the event. The not so short, night of photography, which is always held as close to the 21st June as possible starts the event with a gourmet picnic (included) by the side of Llyn Padarn (Llanberis Lake) deep in the heart of Snowdonia before moving on for a marathon photographic session visiting numerous locations. Seventeen hours (Yes, we can see the irony!) of photographic fun, friendship and getting creative with your camera will have you shooting everything from star trails to long exposures, from architecture to land and seascapes.
Snowdonia
Grab your camera, pull on your walking boots, we are off on a photographic adventure deep in the heart of Snowdonia, North Wales. On this WelshotRewards Day, Welshot Team Leader Helen Iles will be leading a gentle walk along the Glaslyn river, starting in the picturesque village of Beddgelert and helping YOU to get the best out of YOUR camera. From Long exposures to abstract water compositions to macro and close-up photography, this day has it all for the photographer.
After the success of the 2019 “Shortest Night” we will, once again, be running this, not so short, non-stop night of photography. Circumnavigating Anglesey and Snowdonia” – starting in Llanberis with a picnic supper in the evening and finishing at breakfast, both of which are included in the cost of this event. Shooting for nearly 15 hours solid. Most of the 2019 delegates are already pre-booked onto this event so spaces are already limited.
I had the pleasure of attending the Welshot Photographic Academy Evening in Chester where Helen Iles was giving an extended talk a couple of months’ ago, and I wasn’t the only attendee bowled over by her images. Whilst the idea of wild camping on exposed hills is one I might have been tempted by before I got into my 60’s! I was very pleased to secure a place on her second Walking With Your Camera event with Welshot.
