The Conwy RSPB nature reserve is a wetland on the Conwy estuary, created from material dug out during the construction of the A55 road tunnel. It is now home to a variety of wildlife, and a great place for photographers and their cameras. there is always something to see and photograph, from landscape to macro, flora and fauna and, of course, birds. Your Welshot Masterclass will be learning how to work with composition / light / shutter speeds to capture movement.

If you’d like to make a Weekend of it then day two will be about getting into the Peak District National Park and capturing the beautiful landscape and scenery near to Buxton.

Winter Fashion in Liverpool – Off Camera Flash Photography. This is a day of photography that will have you and your camera running red hot. Our stunning Models will be dressed in ‘On Trend’ clothing and will be ready to pose for you in the historic backdrop of the Albert Dock, and other nearby surrounding locations. Low-Light and Long Exposure Photography – Rhyl Harbour is located on the spectacular North Wales coast and it will be our starting point for this Welshot Photographic Roving Academy Evening. Fishing boats, sand dunes, seascapes, long exposures and low-light photography will be our focus on this learn your camera photography workshop session before moving along the waterfront to capture the architecture of Rhyl.

Wildlife photography at the Martin Mere WWT – What could be better than walking around the bustling wetlands with your camera photographing the birds who are overwintering. Our first Welshot Mini-Module with Masterclass of 2022 is designed to help you get out and about, beat those Winter blues and exploring the Martin Mere wetland paradise. This Welshot photographic workshop will have you making and creating some stunning images in the peaceful reedbeds, home to bearded tits and cetti’s warblers and marsh harriers in flight. Welshot Does… The Shortest Night Photographic Adventure – visiting the beautiful landscape of Anglesey and Snowdonia in North Wales, is a firm Welshot favourite and always has our delegates booking on the next years ‘Shortest Night’ adventure before the bacon butties (included) have been eaten at the end of the event. The not so short, night of photography, which is always held as close to the 21st June as possible starts the event with a gourmet picnic (included) by the side of Llyn Padarn (Llanberis Lake) deep in the heart of Snowdonia before moving on for a marathon photographic session visiting numerous locations. Seventeen hours (Yes, we can see the irony!) of photographic fun, friendship and getting creative with your camera will have you shooting everything from star trails to long exposures, from architecture to land and seascapes.

From low-light, long exposure to how to photograph the night sky this Welshot photographic event at Penmon, on the Isle of Anglesey will keep you and your camera busy taking stunning images from before sunset to long after the sun has gone down. You will have two masterclasses – learning how to shoot the golden hour, before catching that sunset and the blue hour that photographers love so much. The second Welshot masterclass will help you to get prepared for an evening of Astro photography to ensure your camera is all set up to catch the night sky. You are going to learn how to make long exposures to capture the sea as it laps the shore and lighthouse as well as clouds and dramatic landscape in low light conditions. For those who would like to learn the art of light painting, we will be lighting up the lighthouse as well as creating some dramatic art. Plenty to photograph and keep you busy on this extensive Welshot Mini Module.
