The Conwy RSPB nature reserve is a wetland on the Conwy estuary, created from material dug out during the construction of the A55 road tunnel. It is now home to a variety of wildlife, and a great place for photographers and their cameras. there is always something to see and photograph, from landscape to macro, flora and fauna and, of course, birds. Macro & Close-Up Photography – Llandudno Academy Evening

Macro photography (or close-up photography) is a photographic genre that some people struggle with but at our Photographic Academy Evening, based in the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno, Team Welshot will take you through step by step of everything you need to do to create some stunning macro photography images. Working with ethically sourced bugs, insects and critters, flowers and man-made objects will ensure you will still get an evening of photography regardless of the weather outside.

Photography at Penmon Lighthouse on Anglesey – Roving Photographic Academy Evening. It’s all about seascapes, low-light, long exposures and night sky photography. Charge your batteries, pack your kit bag (with a memory card or three) and grab your camera and head to Anglesey, North Wales. Specifically Penmon Point Lighthouse. From a how to shoot the night sky masterclass to getting creative long exposures, this Welshot adventure will have you making images to be proud of. While we can’t guarantee a sunset, or that the stars will align and come out to play, we will help you to shoot in those-low-light conditions which will make for some dramatic images.
