Join us at this Welshot Progressive, Friday Evening session, where we will be joined by London Model – Sin Yu Chan and unlock your photographic potential at this exclusive portrait photography workshop, meticulously designed for photographers who are passionate about building a standout portfolio as well as excelling in photographic competitions. This immersive, hands-on experience presents a rare opportunity to work with Sin Yu Chan who, as professional model, uses the tag line “Styled By Me – Modelled By Me” will give you an opportunity to photograph this superb model, dressed in avant-garde, highly styled clothing, offering you a unique and visually striking opportunity for you and your photographic portfolio. This comprehensive session will take place in a studio environment using mains studio and off camera flash and will cover everything from lighting and composition while giving you lots of hints and tips, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded skill set to take home with you.

Tonight your Model, Elle Baldwisnon, will be helping you to unleash your creativity in the Welshot studio and outside on location in Llandudno. Our theme for this evenings photographic session will be a nod to Hollywood glamour – think long, elegant dresses, complete with props and studio sets. Elle brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and versatility to every shot and we guarantee you will go home with a lot more than just great shots in your camera.

Our April Welshot Friday night studio session is not just about capturing images; it’s about unlocking your full creative potential and at this event we are joined by Joanna (Rose) Turner who will be your model for this photography session. You will be making images from high-fashion elegance to raw, emotive shots using a wide variety of lighting techniques and backdrops. Immerse yourself in an environment where your ideas can flourish, and your artistic expression knows no bounds. From conceptualisation to execution, every moment is an opportunity to create photographic masterpieces. Joanna brings not just beauty but a wealth of experience to help you get your shot, ensuring that each frame encapsulates the essence of your vision. Portrait Photography – Friday Night is Studio Night – July Session at the Welshot Creative Hub. Tonight our model is a trained dancer (ballet) who will be rocking the studio, in a wide variety of ballet poses, wearing a selection of authentic dance costumes (including tutus) and props. You will be learning how to set-up, use and work the lighting specifically for full body portraiture. We will also be showing you how you can create your own simple but effective backdrops at home using easily sourced items as props without costing you a fortune. From learning how to pose your model to the best lighting (types of) and modifiers to use to make the images you want to create. From using props, backgrounds, and gels to understanding the correct settings, camera functions, lenses, and focal lengths to use for portraiture and studio photography.

Portrait Photography – Friday Night is Studio Night at the Welshot Creative Hub. This Welshot Photographic Academy Evening, based at the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno North Wales will be the perfect opportunity for you to get creative, work with models, build yourself a photographic portfolio, learn about studio (Mains Flash and Off Camera Flash) lighting and help you to keep up-to-date with the latest techniques, skills and equipment. Limited to eight photographers, with at least two models and two different studio set-ups during the course of this Evening photography workshop you will get One to One and Group tuition and training to help, support and guide you through what can often be thought of as a confusing and complex genre of photography. This, dedicated to learning all things studio lighting for photography course, will have you taking and making portrait images that you will be proud to show off.
