“Friday Night is Studio Night” and this Welshot portfolio building session coincides with Valentine’s day – so we’re excited to announce that Natasha Groves, who will be joining us at the Creative Hub in Llandudno this month, has jumped at the chance to have a themed “Valentines” shoot this evening. Natasha is a full-time, professional model specialising in fitness, fashion, commercial and beauty. Natasha’s wardrobe is diverse, encompassing styles ranging from casual and sporty, all the way to high fashion and she is comfortable wearing a variety of styles. Natasha is open to experimenting with the style preferences of our Welshot delegates. Natasha is able to able to shoot without direction but will always welcome creative input from others. Based in North London, this is a rare opportunity to shoot with Natasha as she rarely visits North Wales.

Portrait Photography – Portfolio Building Session at the Welshot Creative Hub with Hannah Lou Dimmock. “Friday Night is Studio Night” and at this Welshot portfolio building session we are excited to have Hannah Lou Dimmock joining us at the Creative Hub in Llandudno. Hannah is a full-time, professional model and actress specialising in fashion, commercial and beauty. Hannah is an enthusiastic and versatile model and will give you expression, elegance, and attitude to suit a look and a wide variety of different poses. Hannah is able to able to shoot without direction but will always welcome creative input from others. Based in Northampton, this is a rare opportunity to shoot with Hannah as she rarely visits North Wales. During this session, Hannah, who loves fashion and working in a studio, will be sporting a number of different looks with at least three costume/outfit changes. This comprehensive session will take place in a studio environment using mains studio, and, outside on location using off camera flash, (if weather permits) this evening photography session will cover everything from lighting to composition while giving you lots of hints and tips, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded skill set to take home with you.

Xenia is a professional, full-time model based in Sheffield and with her own studio Zavod. Xenia has extensive knowledge as a photographer and a model. With a deep understanding of how the camera, lighting, composition and posing work together, you will, as a photographer, benefit from her modelling experience and photographic knowledge and be in an ideal environment to create and make some stunning portraiture for your portfolio.

This comprehensive session will take place in a studio environment using mains studio, and, outside on location using off camera flash, (if weather permits) with at least three costume/outfit changes this evening photography session will cover everything from lighting to composition while giving you lots of hints and tips, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded skill set to take home with you.

At our October “Friday Night is Studio Night” we will be welcoming Simone Stocks in to the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno. Simone is a professional, full-time model based in London and Derby with 10 years experience. Simone has passion for being on both sides of the lens and has a deep understanding of how light brings notable energy to a photoshoot. Without a doubt, as a photographer, you will not only benefit from her modelling experience but get a unique insight from a photographic point of view as well which will help you too create some stand-out images for your portfolio.

By participating in this hands-on practical session, you’ll gain valuable experience and confidence in directing models and capturing their best angles. This is an ideal setting to experiment with bold, artistic concepts that will make your portfolio truly stand out.

Tonight your Model, Elle Baldwisnon, will be helping you to unleash your creativity in the Welshot studio and outside on location in Llandudno. Our theme for this evenings photographic session will be a nod to Hollywood glamour – think long, elegant dresses, complete with props and studio sets. Elle brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and versatility to every shot and we guarantee you will go home with a lot more than just great shots in your camera.

Our April Welshot Friday night studio session is not just about capturing images; it’s about unlocking your full creative potential and at this event we are joined by Joanna (Rose) Turner who will be your model for this photography session. You will be making images from high-fashion elegance to raw, emotive shots using a wide variety of lighting techniques and backdrops. Immerse yourself in an environment where your ideas can flourish, and your artistic expression knows no bounds. From conceptualisation to execution, every moment is an opportunity to create photographic masterpieces. Portrait Photography – Friday Night is Studio Night – July Session at the Welshot Creative Hub. Tonight our model is a trained dancer (ballet) who will be rocking the studio, in a wide variety of ballet poses, wearing a selection of authentic dance costumes (including tutus) and props. You will be learning how to set-up, use and work the lighting specifically for full body portraiture. We will also be showing you how you can create your own simple but effective backdrops at home using easily sourced items as props without costing you a fortune. From learning how to pose your model to the best lighting (types of) and modifiers to use to make the images you want to create. From using props, backgrounds, and gels to understanding the correct settings, camera functions, lenses, and focal lengths to use for portraiture and studio photography.

Portrait Photography – Friday Night is Studio Night at the Welshot Creative Hub. This Welshot Photographic Academy Evening, based at the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno North Wales will be the perfect opportunity for you to get creative, work with models, build yourself a photographic portfolio, learn about studio (Mains Flash and Off Camera Flash) lighting and help you to keep up-to-date with the latest techniques, skills and equipment. Limited to eight photographers, with at least two models and two different studio set-ups during the course of this Evening photography workshop you will get One to One and Group tuition and training to help, support and guide you through what can often be thought of as a confusing and complex genre of photography. This, dedicated to learning all things studio lighting for photography course, will have you taking and making portrait images that you will be proud to show off.
