What Will Happen
Street Photography meets Chinese New Year 2022 – What more does a photographer a need. This WelshotRewards Day for Academy Members will keep you and your camera busy for hours. Vibrant, colourful, and atmospheric you will be able to capture everything from dramatic panoramic scenescapes to close-up details, from street photography to dance and movement. After meeting in Liverpool One we will wander up to the iconic Chinese Ceremonial Archway, which, standing tall and can be seen from a distance, provides and impressive entrance to Chinatown, home to the oldest Chinese community in Europe.
Chinese New Year – Tuesday 1st 2022 – Year of the Tiger
The celebration is happening on Sunday 6th February 2022. Water Tiger, funded by ACE (Arts Council England), and Liverpool City Council, will be part of the city-wide celebration of Chinese New Year celebrations in the oldest China Town in the Europe – Liverpool
Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill or a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.
The Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this session to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories.

Please Note: No food or drink is included in the cost of this event. This is an outdoors event. Please make sure you come dressed appropriately. If Welshot decides to postpone this event due to bad weather conditions you will be given several options regarding your booking..
Welshot will be keeping within Welsh Government regulations and recommendations regarding the Coronavirus and Covid 19 Regulations, and we expect our delegates to do the same.

The Schedule
- 10:30 – Meet – Pret A Manger – Liverpool One
- 10:45 – Walk to Chinatown – Photography starts – 1:1 and group tuition
- 13:00 – Lunch – not included
- 14:00 – Photography resumes – 1:1 and group tuition
- 16:00 – Finish
Please Bring
- Camera and lenses suitable for this event – Wide angle if possible or standard zoom
- Spare (Fully Charged) Batteries and Memory Card
- Tripod / Cable release if you have one – This is optional but you may feel you need a tripod if you want to do long exposures and can’t handhold your camera.
- Refreshments – Snacks or drinks you think you will require during the event
- A list of ideas, help, questions etc that you would like to discuss with Welshot Team Leaders
