What Will Happen
Macro photography (or close-up photography) is a photographic genre that some people struggle with but at this Welshot Photographic Academy Evening, based in the Welshot Creative Hub, Llandudno, Team Welshot will take you through step by step of everything you need to do to create some stunning macro photography images. Working with ethically sourced bugs, insects and critters and man-made objects will ensure you will still get an evening of photography if the weather is not kind – if it is, we will, at some stage of the evening, go on a bug hunt around the 16 Trinity House buildings.
Beginner to photography? We can help you.
Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill, or, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.
The Welshot Team will be on hand throughout this Macro Photography – Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening to assist and help you get the best out of your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about macro / close-up photography and your camera.
Please Note: Supper is included in the cost of this event. Delegate numbers are restricted to ensure plenty of 1:1 and group tuition time. Team leaders and shooting time are proportionate.

The Schedule
- 6:30pm – Doors Open – Welcome
- 6:35pm – Macro photography starts
- 8.00pm – Supper – Included in the cost of this event
- 8: 30pm – Macro photography resumes
- 10:00pm – Finish
Please Bring
- Camera and lenses suitable for this event – Macro lens (if you have one) / 50mm / lenses that will let you focus in close on your subject
- Welshot can provide close-up filters if you have no suitable lenses
- Spare (Fully Charged) Batteries and Memory Card
- Tripod / Cable release if you have one
- A list of ideas, help, questions etc that you would like to discuss with Welshot Team Leaders
