Join us in Liverpool for a day looking through your lens! Grab your camera and immerse yourself in a day filled with capturing great images and connecting with fellow photography enthusiasts. Liverpool is a photographer’s dream. Home to world-famous landmarks like the Beatles, the Albert Dock, the Three Graces, and two majestic Cathedrals, this vibrant city offers an abundance of photo opportunities. With over 2500 listed buildings – the most outside of London – it is a haven for lovers of architectural photography. Whether you’re shooting the grand, historic buildings, the intricate details, or the energy of the bustling city streets, Liverpool has something for everyone.
During our exploration of this vibrant city, we’ll guide you through Liverpool’s historic and modern locations, helping you learn to get the best from your camera. As we explore the city together, you will gain hands-on experience and build confidence in your photography skills. Our goal is to help you capture not just the iconic landmarks, but also the hidden gems and details that often go unnoticed, helping you improve your ability to “see” through your lens. Throughout the day, we’ll focus on various photography techniques to enhance your skills. You’ll learn how to shoot for high dynamic range (HDR), how to find and compose lead-in lines, and discover how to approach shooting in black and white. We’ll also explore both interior and exterior shots – depending on conditions and regulations – so you can master capturing a wide variety of scenes.

Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill, or, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.
The Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this Liverpool Through The Lens – A Photographic Adventure with Your Camera event to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about photography and your camera.

10:30 – Meet inside Pret A Manger – Liverpool One
10:35 – Welcome, information, and instructions
10:40 – Photography starts – 1:1 and Group Tuition will be provided
We will be stopping for comfort stops / refreshments (not included) at convenient times throughout the day
17:00 – Finish

- Camera and lenses suitable for this event – Wide angle if possible or standard zoom
- Spare Batteries and Memory Card
- Tripod / Cable release if you have one
- Entrance tickets and refreshment money
