I wanted to tell you about our One-to-One “Learn My Camera” sessions, how they work and what you will get out of them, but, I thought it would be so much more useful for you, the reader, to hear from someone who has actually attended a session with Eifion recently.
That’s why I’m handing this over to Ellen James of Cefnfor Candles. Ellen wanted to learn how to use her camera to showcase her amazing homemade candles. This is what she has to say…
My camera was covered in dust and guilt
I’ve had my camera for about two years now, but it only came out for birthdays, holidays, and the occasional “I’m going to be a serious photographer now” moment.
Mostly I defaulted to my phone, it was just so easy and always there. The camera felt a bit intimidating, like it was judging me for not knowing what ISO meant.
I wanted to finally break the cycle of camera shame! I knew the camera had potential, and I figured a One-to-One learn my camera tuition day would help me unlock it without the pressure of a group setting.

Here’s how my Welshot “Learn My Camera” session went…
From the first email, Welshot made me feel like I was in good hands. Communication was clear, friendly, and super helpful. They asked all the right questions to tailor the session to my needs, and I felt like they genuinely cared about helping me get the most out of it.
Studio, location, and welcome.
Walking into the Welshot studio felt like stepping into a creative haven. It was cozy, well-equipped, and full of inspiration. The welcome was warm and relaxed.
Personalised learning journey – Bespoke One-to-One session
Eifion took the time to understand where I was at and what I wanted to learn. He didn’t just follow a script; he adapted everything to suit my pace and interests. It felt like the session was built just for me, which made all the difference. Eifion made the technical stuff feel totally approachable.
He explained things in plain English (with a few stories of nostalgia that made me laugh), and I finally had those “aha!” moments I’d been missing.

Eifion broke things down in a way that actually made sense. I finally understood how aperture, shutter speed, and ISO work together, and I even remembered it afterward!
The outdoor session was a blast! Eifion guided me through real-world scenarios, helped me frame shots, and gave instant feedback. I left with some photos I’m genuinely proud of, and a big grin on my face.
Confidence restored, future plans – post-session confidence boost

Before my One-to-One “Learn My Camera” session with Eifion at Welshot it was like I was trying to pilot a spaceship with no manual. I’d press buttons and hope for the best, but mostly I stuck to auto mode and prayed.
Now I’m already planning a few photo walks and want to try my hand at portraits and landscapes. No more hiding behind my phone!
Reclaiming the joy of photography
My journey with Welshot has been transformative. Beyond learning technical skills, I gained a renewed passion for photography.
If you’re like me, struggling to unlock your camera’s potential, I highly recommend investing in a one-on-one session with Welshot.
It’s more than just learning; it’s reclaiming the joy of photography.

Are you ready to invest in yourself and learn your camera the way you’d like to use it?
One-to-One session is, hands-down, the most effective way to learn photography.
Investing in yourself and your own learning, especially when it comes to knowing how to use your camera, is likely to be an investment that will pay dividends over and over again!
You’ve tried learning from websites and blogs, you’ve even disappeared down a YouTube rabbit hole and bought online photography workshops.
But none of it is specific to you and your camera.
It’s hard to make the learning stick when you don’t have someone by your side to help.
With a Welshot One-to-One photography lesson, you’ll have an experienced photographer and teacher by your side, safe in the knowledge that a One-to-One photography tuition session will get you that much closer to using your camera which will give you endless hours of photographic adventures.
Yes! I’m ready to make that happen now…
