Seascape Photography with Long Exposures in Low-Light – Llandudno North Wales
We’re taking advantage of the shorter days and longer darker nights – and getting out and about with our cameras to capture Llandudno and its long, circular bay, the promenade and pier (from Promenade) and the sea, concentrating on capturing long exposures and then, as the sun sets, in low-light conditions. After the sun has set (16:40) we will continue to shoot those long exposures creating dynamic photos you will be proud of. From the Prom to the Pier itself to the surrounding landscapes we will capture the magic that is Llandudno from all the angles. YHou will also have the opportunity to capture traffic trails, grade one and two listed building all lit up, thus learning how to show your environment around you in one perfect image.
Shooting long exposures, especially in low light conditions can be challenging – Today, and into the evening you will be learning how to use each element of the exposure triangle (ISO / Shutter / Aperture) to create your image. Understanding the exposure triangle is an important part of knowing how to use your camera, especially when shooting in low light. Learning how to use your shutter speeds and exposure times with the ambient (and natural light) will help to create a variety of looks in your photographs. At this low-light and long exposure seascape photography workshop you will be capturing and creating unique and inspiring images to be proud of.

13:05 – Welcome, introductions and setting up your camera in preparation – ‘How to…’ with Q&A session
13:30 – Photography starts (outside on location) – One to One and Group tuition
15:40 – Capture the landscape / seascape in the ‘Golden Hour’
16:40 – Sunset – Shoot the ‘Blue Hour’ and Long Exposures
18:00 – Finish
