Behind the Scenes at Welshot

At Welshot

When the website developer asked for a selection of some behind the scene image which have been taken at Welshot it led us (ok, so me) down a bit of a rabbit hole here at the creative hub…

In April 2025 we will be celebrating 16 years of organising events / workshops and photographic adventures and helping people who love photography get the best from their camera – so, THAT’S a LOT of images to go through!

Talk about going down a rabbit hole – what was supposed to be a quick flick through the hard-drives to send the web developer some images has turned out to be a whole day of reminiscing, and a BIG list of ideas for blogs I could/should now write.

But, for now… We’ve picked out a few images that make us smile – because, it’s why we do what we do!

Rob Stevens and Paul Hackett at the Welshot 10 Year Celebrations with Olympus and London Camera Exchange.

If it’s not fun, then we’re not doing it right!

Having fun at any Welshot Photography event has always been a driving force for us. We take what we do seriously – from helping people to learn how to use their camera during our “One-to-One” sessions to our themed photo-shoots.

What we don’t take too seriously is ourselves.

The team, and Welshotters alike, are always up for a laugh – and, they like to get those BTS images too – especially if you are lying face down on the ground or you’re having a quick nap because you’ve been shooting for 18 hours straight during our longest night / shortest day event.

Or, you’ve just paid 42 EUROS for a blinking orange juice!

Smile – Your On Camera…

The very best BTS photos are the smiley ones…

Just sayin…!

A Very Welshot Adventure

Now, we’re not saying we’ve done it all, but we’ve certainly done a lot…

From our overseas photographic adventures to our overnight at the seaside capturing the milky way – from our themed photo-shoots to our one-to-one sessions – we try to make sure that there is something for everyone who loves to pick up a camera and take photos.

No event, workshop, themed photo-shoot, one-to-one or overseas adventure would be complete without a lot of smiles and a lot of laughs.

It wouldn’t be a Welshot adventure without a jolly good belly laugh over someone doing something really funny, or, stupid… Like that 42 EURO orange juice!

Thank You

To everyone who has helped make these behind the scene images, to everyone who has laughed and smiled while they have clicked the shutter button.

Thank you.

Always leave Welshot events with a happy smile and lots (even when supposed to be going slow) of images!

      Hi Victoria
LOL – You just can’t help yourself can you! Well, it could be worse – you could be shooting in film lol ;)

And thank you guys for all your hard work, for getting me out of automatic and developing my skills to take me from a happy snapper to a proper photographer! We’ve all come a long way together.

      Hello Adi
Aww, it’s not hard work when we have lovely delegates like you who love photography as much as we do. We hope we get to see you soon – but, I can tell you that 2025 is bringing a road trip up to Northumberland so a meet-up is a must.

      Happy snapping Adi
