DESCRIPTION:Alice in Wonderland Photo Adventure for Kids – A Welshot For Kids February School Half-Term Event\nLooking for something a little different to do this February half term?  We’re running a relaxed\, creative morning for kids who are curious about photography\, love being creative\, or simply enjoy getting outside and exploring. No pressure\, no tests\, no expectations.  Just space to play\, look\, notice\, and have fun. \nWe’ll be wandering around Llandudno\, North Wales\, following parts of the Alice in Wonderland Trail\, with a few gentle creative challenges along the way. Children can join in as much or as little as they like. \nWho is this for?\nThis morning is ideal for: \n\nKids who are curious about photography.  We suggest the age range should be between 5 – 15 years\nChildren who enjoy being creative\nThose who might feel nervous in structured activities\nFamilies who want something relaxed and different to do together\n\nThey don’t need experience.  They don’t need fancy equipment.  They don’t even need to take many photos. \nWhat’s it all about?\nThis morning is designed to: \n\nHelp kids feel comfortable taking photos (without worrying about being “good”)\nEncourage creativity\, curiosity\, and confidence\nLet children explore the world around them in a fun\, playful way\nOffer a calm alternative to screens\, schedules\, and pressure\n\nSome kids will take loads of photos.  Some will take a few and then just enjoy the walk.  Both are absolutely fine with us. \nWhat can they use?\nWhatever they’re happiest with: \n\nA phone\nTheir own camera\nOr they can borrow one of ours (they may need to share)\n\nThere’s no requirement (or pressure) to know how anything works\, we’ll gently help when needed. \nWhat will we do?\nNothing formal. Nothing intimidating.  Along the walk\, we’ll offer: \n\nSimple photo ideas like “spot something curious” or “find a shape or colour”\nTime to explore the Alice in Wonderland sculptures\nEncouragement to look closely\, imagine stories\, and notice details\nPlenty of freedom to opt in\, step back\, or just enjoy the moment\n\nThere’s no right or wrong way to take part. \nWhat they might learn (without realising it)\nThis morning isn’t about teaching photography in a classroom sense\, but along the way\, children may naturally begin to: \n\nNotice the world more closely:\n\nLooking for shapes\, colours\, textures\, and details they might normally walk past.\n\n\nTell stories with pictures:\n\nUsing the Alice in Wonderland trail as inspiration to imagine characters\, moments\, or mini adventures.\n\n\nFeel more confident using a camera or phone:\n\nLearning that there’s no right or wrong way.  Just curiosity and trying things out.\n\n\nSlow down and focus:\n\nTaking a moment to look\, wait\, and decide what catches their eye.\n\n\nTrust their own ideas:\n\nChoosing what they want to photograph\, rather than being told what to capture.\n\n\nEnjoy being creative without pressure:\n\nDiscovering that creativity doesn’t have to be perfect\, finished\, or shared.\n\n\nConnect creativity with the outdoors:\n\nSeeing photography as a reason to explore\, walk\, and enjoy being outside.\n\n\n\nEvent Schedule\n09:45 – Meet at the Welshot Creative Hub – 16 Trinity Square\, Llandudno\n09:50 – Welcome\, introductions\, plan of action\n10:00 – Let’s get going…\n12:30 – Q&A and/or let’s look at those photos (for kids who want to share)\n13:00 – Finish \nWe suggest bringing some snacks and a drink (to avoid those\, can I have an ice cream moments) – we will stop for comforts stops along the way. \nFor Parents & Guardians – Please Note:\nA parent or guardian MUST stay for the entire session.  This is a shared experience (free of charge for attending parent of guardian) and you’re very welcome to: \n\nWalk alongside\nJoin in\nTake photos too\nOr simply enjoy watching your child explore and create\n\nNo childcare vibes\, no pressure on anyone.  You are welcome to bring any other children under 5-years of age with you free of charge.  If you have more than one child who’d like to attend and take part in the event\, please email me on lee@welshotimaging.co.uk or phone 07765461324 and we will arrange a discount for you. \nChildren will all take something different from the morning.  Some may come away excited about photography.  Others may simply enjoy the freedom\, the walk\, and the shared experience.  Both outcomes are a success. \nThis isn’t about perfect photos.  It’s about curiosity\, confidence\, fresh air\, and fun.
