DESCRIPTION:Portmeirion in Autumn – Colours\, Shapes & Textures – Mini Module with Masterclass\n\n\n\nWhat Will Happen\n\n\n\nThe beautiful Italian village of Portmeirion in Porthmadog\, North Wales is the venue for this Autumn Welshot Photographic Mini Module and Masterclass. From learning how to shoot for High Dynamic images (HDR) to capturing the colour\, textures\, and shapes of this amazing venue in your camera. \n\n\n\nBuilt by Sir William Clough-Ellis between 1925 and 1975\, he brought the glamour and the beauty of the Italian Riviera here to North Wales and this will be where we will put our cameras to the challenge of capturing the spirit and essence of Portmeirion. \n\n\n\nFor this Mini Module\, with camera in hand\, you will explore the village that was made famous by Patrick McGoohan in The Prisoner\, taking in the magnificent architecture and the incredible array of plants and flowers that decorate the village.  There will be a chance to walk in the forests\, capture seascapes\, landscapes as well as try your hand at macro photography too. \n\n\n\nWhether you are a beginner to photography\, a photographer who would like to try a new genre\, learn an new technique or skill or a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio\, you will be made welcome and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.      \n\n\n\nThe Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this session to assist and help you get the best from your camera\, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories. \n\n\n\nPlease Note:  You will also need to pay an entrance fee – further details can be found here: https://portmeirion.wales/visit/plan-your-visit/tickets \n\n\n\nNo food or drink is included in the cost of this event and this is a fully outdoor event – please make sure you come dressed appropriately. From learning how to minimise reflections in the metallic surfaces to useful lighting techniques such as gradient lighting and light painting.  Throughout this in-depth Welshot Photographic Mini-Module you will be taken through the shooting procedures step-by-step while you practice for yourself and get yourself a great set of dynamic images for your portfolio. \n\n\n\nYou will learn how to think about the factors that go into car photography\, from choosing your background and location to which camera settings to use – these depend on the kind of car photography you wish to make and whether you should use props and models in your shoot. Manchester’s Christmas Markets have long been a favourite of Team Welshot and delegates\, as the perfect place to practice and perfect your street\, documentary and reportage photography.  From the thousands of visitors that visit to the beautiful festive stalls and chalets which are spread across the city centre\, these Christmas Markets are sure to give the photographer a wide range of choice when it comes to capturing the festive spirit in camera. \n\n\n\nThe Street Photography – Manchester Christmas Market Mini Module with Masterclass will be about helping you to create long exposures in low-light conditions\, specifically people but maybe some traffic trails too. DESCRIPTION:Winter Nature Ramble – Photography at RSPB Conwy – Mini Module with Masterclass\n\n\n\nWhat Will Happen\n\n\n\nGrab your coats\, camera and join us on the Welshot Winter Nature Ramble – Photography at the RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve in North Wales\, guaranteed to help you blow those Winter cobwebs away while capturing the beauty from what can only be described as a stunning environment.  The Conwy RSPB nature reserve is a wetland on the Conwy estuary\, created from material dug out during the construction of the A55 road tunnel. It is now home to a variety of wildlife\, and a great place for photographers and their cameras.  there is always something to see and photograph\, from landscape to macro\, flora and fauna and\, of course\, birds.  Your Welshot Masterclass will be learning how to work with light and shutter speeds to capture stunning compositions and movement. \n\n\n\nIf birds are your jam then Winter season is a great place to capture the Starling roosting in the reeds which they can build at any time\, usually between January and March – be here an hour before dusk. Water Rails feed in the open (keep an eye on the bird feeders too). Listen for siskins and lesser redpolls in alder trees behind the visitor centre. Following a hard frost or light snow\, you may see mammal tracks\, including otter and water shrew. DESCRIPTION:Themed Photo-Shoot: Recreate A Grand Master Painting with Welshot\n\n\n\nWhat Will Happen\n\n\n\nAlways a firm favourite of photographic delegates\, this themed photo-shoot: Recreate A Grand Master Painting with Welshot will be no different.  For the first time we will be using the St Mary’s Creative Space in the historic City of Chester for a full day event and we will have at least six mains studio flash sets\, complete with props\, models wearing a stunning array of costumes and mood/vision boards to help you recreate those paintings in your camera.  For our 2022 Recreate a Grand Masters  themed photo-shoot\, we will also be throwing in some contemporary paintings and still-life photography for those who would like to capture something a little different.    \n\n\n\nAs we get closer to the day of the shoot you will be sent a full brief of the paintings we will be helping you to recreate and capture in your camera – As always with Welshot\, you are welcome to throw your own creativity into the studio\, so\, please bring along any ideas / props and we will aim to help you all we can to help you make your image. You will be creating images painted with light using a wide variety of devices and tools such as\, torches\, EL wire and props.  We will be on location during this shoot\, visiting the many historic backdrops in Chester and using them to our advantage to enhance our photographs. Fishing boats\, sand dunes\, seascapes\, long exposures and low-light photography will be our focus on this learn your camera photography workshop session before  moving along the waterfront to capture the architecture of Rhyl.  \n\n\n\nAs well as low-light and long exposure photography from the Pont y Ddraig Pedestrian / Cycle Bridge. we will be capturing architecture\, traffic trails and trying our hand at some light painting thrown in for good measure.  For those who would like a bit of inspiration or want to think a little differently and practice the techniques you will be learning we will have a little challenge for you. Buxton is a photographers dream\, architecture\, beautiful gardens an stunning scenery if you’d like to walk a little.  If you’d like to make a Weekend of it then day two will be about getting into the Peak District National Park and capturing the beautiful landscape and scenery near to Buxton.   \n\n\n\nStanding between 1\,000 and 1\,100 feet (305 and 335 metres) above sea level\, Buxton is the highest market town in England. DESCRIPTION:Photography & Period Costumes on Location at The Bulkeley Hotel\n\n\n\nWhat Will Happen\n\n\n\nMains studio flash\, off camera flash\, photography and period costumes on location at The Bulkeley Hotel – what more could the portrait photographer possibly want or need.  At this Anglesey Photographic Academy Evening your models will be wearing authentic costumes from the Cambria Costume House.  We will have at least one mains studio flash set up with various backgrounds and props and we will also be using off camera flash on locations in and around the hotel – including the ornate grand staircase and ballroom.  Tonight\, you will also learn precision\, where to place the light\, and how it falls on your subject can dramatically affect the look of your image.  \n\n\n\nBeginner to photography?
