SUMMARY:Product & Still-Life Photography – Creating Images That Tell a Story - Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening
DESCRIPTION:Product & Still-Life Photography – Creating Images That Tell a Story – Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening\nThe Llandudno Photographic Academy evening for photographers\, makers\, creatives and small businesses — whether you’re photographing for pleasure or creating content to help sell what you make. \nWhether you want to create beautiful still-life photographs simply for the joy of photography\, or you need better images of the products you make or sell\, this hands-on Llandudno Academy Evening will help you learn how to style\, light and photograph objects with purpose. \nProduct and still-life photography have far more in common than you might think. \nBoth are about light\, composition\, colour\, texture and storytelling. Both involve taking an everyday object and thinking carefully about how you want someone to see it. And both give you plenty of opportunity to slow down\, experiment and get creative with your photography. \nThroughout the evening we’ll explore how small changes to lighting\, backgrounds\, props\, positioning and composition can completely transform an image. \nAnd\, with Christmas just around the corner\, we’ll have the opportunity to introduce some festive styling too\, perfect if you’re a small business wanting to create Christmas content or a photographer who fancies creating atmospheric seasonal still-life images. \nYou don’t need a studio full of expensive equipment either. We’ll show you techniques and ideas that you can continue experimenting with after the evening\, whether you’re photographing for yourself\, your social media\, your website or your business. \nTwo Reasons to Photograph. The Same Creative Skills.\nThis Academy Evening has been designed to bring two worlds together. \nIf you’re a photographer or photography enthusiast\, you’ll be able to explore still-life photography creatively\, experimenting with composition\, light\, colour\, texture\, backgrounds and storytelling.  Bring along an object that interests you\, use something from our collection\, or get festive and create a seasonal still-life. \nIf you’re a maker\, creative or small business owner\, bring along one or two products that you sell and learn how to photograph them in a way that feels more considered\, professional and engaging.  You’ll be able to experiment with creating photographs for social media\, websites and marketing\, including those all-important Christmas posts. \nAnd if you happen to fit into both camps? Even better. \nDuring this practical photographic Academy Evening we’ll explore:\n\nHow to style and arrange objects before you even pick up the camera.\nSimple ways to use backgrounds\, surfaces\, props\, colour and texture.\nHow composition and negative space can change the way an image feels.\nHow to use light to create shape\, depth\, texture and mood.\nThe difference between simply documenting an object and creating an image that tells a story.\nHow to create hero shots\, detail photographs and wider storytelling images.\nWays to photograph reflective\, textured\, matte and translucent objects.\nHow small changes in camera position and lighting can dramatically alter your photograph.\nCreating images that work for websites and social media.\nHow to introduce seasonal and festive elements without overwhelming the main subject.\n\n\nBeginner to photography? We’re here for you.\nWhether you are a beginner to photography\, a photographer who would like to try a new genre\, learn a new technique or skill\, or\, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio\, you will be made welcome\, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera. \nThe Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this Product & Still-Life Photography – Creating Images That Tell a Story – Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening event to assist and help you get the best from your camera\, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about photography and your camera. \nEvent Schedule\n18:30 – Meet at the Welshot Creative Hub – 16 Trinity Square\, Llandudno\n18:35 – Photography starts – One to One and Group tuition\n20:00 – Short break – time to grab yourself a hot/cold drink\n20:30 – Photography continues with One to One and Group Tuition\n22:00 – Finish \nPlease Bring\nCamera and lenses suitable for this event – Kit Lens / Short Zoom / 50mm or your favourite portraiture lens\nTripod (if you have one – if not\, Welshot can help you with this)\nSpare Batteries and Memory Card\nA list of ideas\, help\, questions etc that you would like to discuss with Welshot Team Leaders. \nPlease Note\nTea\, coffee\, hot chocolate and cold drinks are included\nIn accordance with our Terms of Service we may need to make changes to this event and we will do all we can to inform you as soon as possible
